Utopian cities
In “Utopian Cities,” I explore the concept of an ideal urban landscape through a whimsical, abstract lens. This piece is a confluence of imagination and structured chaos, representing a cityscape where traditional architectural forms and surreal elements coexist harmoniously.
The interconnected buildings, stairways, and pathways reflect the complexity and interdependence of urban life. Each structure, with its unique angles and forms, signifies the diverse yet unified fabric of a utopian community.
Embedded within these pieces is the notion that, in some way, we are all aliens somewhere in the world, in different cities or environments. The architecture of each place, no matter how familiar, may appear foreign to an outsider. This concept challenges the idea of belonging and invites viewers to embrace the universality of feeling out of place. It reflects the transient, ever-changing nature of cities, where we move between the familiar and the strange, constantly redefining our sense of home.
